Are you age 70 & 1/2 or older?
Here’s a way to reduce your Income Tax for 2024
If you have an individual Retirement Account (IRA) and you will reach age 70 & 1/2 or older during 2024 you may be subject to the Required Minimum Distribution rules under the federal tax law. If so, you might be able to reduce your taxable income, and the amount of tax you owe, by making gifts to charities directly from your IRA. Qualified charities would include our parish and the Catholic Ministries Appeal. Talk with your income tax advisor to see if this might benefit you.
